What is TCU Online?

Brightspace by D2L, referred to as TCU Online, is TCU’s current online learning management system. Using TCU Online is optional for face-to-face classes, and each faculty member may utilize different tools. In TCU Online, students are able to:

  • Review course syllabi and announcements
  • Take quizzes and exams
  • Respond to online discussions
  • Submit assignments
  • Email your instructor and classmates
  • View grades
  • And more!

Log in to TCU Online

Students must have an active TCU Online account in order to access TCU Online.

In order to have a TCU Online account, a student must have:

  1. a TCU ID number – this is issued during the admissions process
  2. a TCU network account (this creates a TCU email address and username)
  3. Commit to attending TCU and pay the deposit.

Once these steps are complete, student accounts will create in TCU Online and enrollment will process into a Future Frog course. This course provides some first year experience and a brief introduction to TCU Online.

When a student registers for classes, the enrollments will process for the upcoming semester TCU Online and also into the Student Orientation Tutorial.

Student access to courses

By default, all courses start on the first day of the semester following the Registrar’s calendar. Access to courses in TCU Online ends two weeks after the last day of the semester. Some instructors opt out of using TCU Online fo the courses. In some cases, courses are opened early or extended later and communication about this will come from the instructor.
