What file types are supported in Assignments?
The following file types can be uploaded into the Assignments Tool, allowing for Inline Viewing/Grading. Other file types CAN be submitted to the Assignments Tool, however they will NOT work with the Inline Viewer.
Web documents
- Extensions: HTM, HTML, MHT, MHTML
- Notes: TCU Online strips the <title> tag and text within the tag from user created web documents
Text Documents
- Extensions: RTF, PPT, PPS, PDF, DOC, DOCX, PPTX, XML, XLS, TXT, WPD
Images
- Extensions: JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIF, TIFF
Media
- Extensions: SWF, MPG, MPEG, RM, MP3, MP4, M4V, M4A, AVI, WAV, RAM, ASF, MOV, RA
- Notes: The extensions MP4, M4V, and M4A allow users to drag entire albums, video podcasts, and movies from iTunes
