Offset Dates in the Manage Dates Tool

Within Manage Dates you can also move start dates and end dates forward or backward by a specified number of days. You can use this feature to bulk offset all dates after copying course content forward to a new term.

To offset dates, do one of the following:

  • Offset dates for an individual course item.
    1. Select the context menu for the item that you would like edit, then click Offset Dates.
    2. Next, specify which dates you want to offset.
    3. Select Offset by direction and range to specify whether you want to offset the dates forward or backward, and by how many days and hours.
    4. Select Calculate range between two dates to quickly generate the number of days between two relative dates. (For example, the first day of the previous semester to the first day of the current semester.)
  • Offset dates for multiple course items.
    1. Select the check boxes beside the items you want to offset dates for and click Bulk Offset Dates from the top of the grid.
    2. Next, specify which dates you want to offset.
    3. Select Offset by direction and range to specify whether you want to offset the dates forward or backward, and by how many days and hours.
    4. Select Calculate range between two dates to quickly generate the number of days between two relative dates. (For example, the first day of the previous semester to the first day of the current semester.)
    5. Click Save.
