Homepages & Widgets: Add Widgets

Faculty can add widgets to their homepage by following the steps below:

  1. Go to your course, select Course Admin.
  2. Click Homepages.
  3. Click the context menu to the right of the homepage title “Course Homepage” and select Copy.

  4. Once the homepage is copied, select the “course homepage – copy
  5. On this page, click Add widgets.

  6. On the pop up, check the box for the widget you want to add to your course homepage.
  7. Click Add.
  8. Click Save and Close.
  9. On the main Homepages page, click the dropdown menu for Active Homepage.  Change this from Default to Course Homepage Copy.
  10. Click Apply.
  11. You can then click on your course name up on the minibar (purple bar at the top of the page) to see your course homepage and confirm the widget displays as you need.
