Add and Remove Exemptions using the Content Tool
Exemptions can be set and removed for the following topic types:
File topics
LTI links
Checklists
Assignments
Discussions
Quizzes
Surveys
Self-Assessments
Set an exemption for a student from the Content tool
On the nav bar click
Content
.
Select the
Table of Contents
.
From the
Table of Contents
, locate the desired content item, click on the context menu, and select
Edit Properties in Place
.
Click on the
Add dates and restrictions…
link.
Click on the
Manage Exemptions
button.
Check the boxes next to the students who are exempt, and click on the
Exempt
button.
The student’s
Exempt Status
will be updated to
Exempt.
To exit the Manage Exemptions page click on the “X” in the upper right corner.
Click the
Update
button to finish editing the properties in place.
Remove an Exemption for a student from the Content tool
On the nav bar click
Content
.
Select the
Table of Contents
.
From the
Table of Contents
, locate the desired content item, click on the context menu, and select
Edit Properties in Place
.
Click on the
Exemptions: # users
(This was previously the Add dates and restrictions… link).
Click on the
Manage Exemptions
button.
Check the boxes next to the students who are exempt, and click on the
Unexempt
button.
The student’s
Exempt Status
will be updated and appear blank to show that the student is no longer exempt.
To exit the Manage Exemptions page click on the “X” in the upper right corner.
Click the
Update
button to finish editing the properties in place.
