Post Panopto Videos in TCU Online

Panopto videos can be posted a variety of different ways in TCU Online. Make sure you have first adjusted the video access and share settings so viewers can view the videos.

Videos can be posted in TCU Online by:

  • Create a Link to a Video in Content
  • Create a Video Content Item
  • Use the Insert Stuff Icon to Embed a Video within the HTML Editor
  • Use External Learning Tools

 

Create a Link to a Panopto Video in Content

  1. Navigate to content.
    Content on Nav Bar
  2. Click on the Upload/Create button.
  3. Select the Create a Link option.

  4. Enter a Title for the link.

  5. Copy and paste the share link.

  6. By default, the Open as an External Resource box is checked. This is recommended.

  7. Click Create.

Create a Panopto Video Content Item

  1. Navigate to content.
    Content on Nav Bar
  2. Click on the Upload/Create button.

  3. Select the Video or Audio option.

  4. Copy and paste the share link or embed code.

  5. Enter a Title for the video.

  6. Click Save.

Use the Insert Stuff Icon to Embed a Panopto Video within the HTML Editor

The HTML Editor can be found in Content, Assignments, Announcements, Discussions, Quizzes, etc.  If you see the box below, you are in the HTML Editor.

  1. Click on the Insert Stuff Button.

  2. Select the Panopto option.

  3. Find the video folder.

  4. Select the video using the radio button.

  5. Scroll down and click on the purple insert button.

  6. Click on the blue Insert button.

  7. Save changes by clicking the Publish button.
